Purpose

Beauty Schools of America maintains a non compensatory Advisory Board that are current professionals in the beauty industry.  Members are chosen based on their professional knowledge and commitment to give back to the beauty community by helping new talent make their start in the beauty industry.

Beauty Schools of America commends the leadership and members of the Advisory Board for their continued commitment and efforts to our most important mission; to help our students achieve and be the best they can possibly be in the wonderful world of beauty.

Ms. Don began her relationship with Beauty Schools of America as a salon owner who was in need of licensed beauty professionals.  As an owner of multiple salons in South Florida she quickly became a salon leader.  Ms. Don’s affiliation as an Advisory Board Member was and has been a shared vision to create an atmosphere where students are always placed first.

Ms. Don’s professional background is an asset to the Beauty Schools of America Advisory Board. As founder of W.I.I.F.M., she has been part of the professional beauty industry for over 25 years.  Some of the exciting positions held by her include; Regional Sales Manager for Stage light Cosmetics, Product and Educational Director for Sebastian International as well as a successful area franchise owner for Great Expectations Salons, A franchised division of Regis Corporation.

Ms. Don experience continues with some of her latest projects that include; consulting in the areas of salon marketing, salon software, salon operations, growth of retail product goals, compensation systems, and as a licensed real estate and business broker to assist those who wish to sell or buy a salon.

Ms. Scarlett Hudson, Director of Education

Scarlet Hudson, formally the Associate Chain Education Director for Matrix, has joined Tressa’s family as Director of Education. Tressa is an exclusive manufacturer of professional hair care products. Scarlet’s main responsibilities include the creation of all educational tools and formats as well as training and development of designers and field staff. With Scarlet’s experience, the education and marketing departments will continue to unify and expand Tressa’s corporate image.

Scarlet has worked in the professional salon industry for 28 years; 7 years in the salon as a stylist/owner and 21 years with the education department at Matrix. Over the last several years she has had the honor of working on stage and at photo shoots as a colorist with Vivienne Mackinder, Dwight Miller and Nicholas French (winner of 2006 Avante Garde NAHA Award).

“It is an honor to work for Tressa,” said Scarlet. “I love the family oriented, entrepreneurial company Tressa has always been. They really care about the stylists and are conscience of the products they launch and product performance. Being a stylist, that means a lot to me. Bigger is not always better.”

With 16 years of experience in the beauty industry, she started her learning experience at “Universidad Tecnica de Belleza y Estetica” (UTBE), then, she was employed by L’oreal Paris, Mexico, where she was one of the youngest color technicians hired by the company. After many successful years in Mexico, she moved to Miami, where she opened a beautiful hair salon in the Bal Harbour area and has been very successful.

Besides the salon, she is also a technical director for Alter Ego Italy, where she is trying to provide new trends and styles to all professionals in the Miami area.
